I’m going to come right out and say at the outset that I’m a paid member of Abby Winters, and have been for a number of years. At a guess I’d say that about 50% of my pr0n collection if made up of stuff I’ve downloaded from Abby Winters.

What I have gotten the shits up about is the other two points in the article: the former models and the legal aspect of it all.
We’ll start with the legal side of things first.
It’s legal to fuck someone. It’s also legal to use video equipment. So why the cunting fuck is it illegal in the state of Victoria to combine those two things together?
If you watch any video produced through Abby Winters, it’s quite obvious to see that the shit on offer is quite fucking tame compared to what is otherwise available elsewhere on teh intarwebs. For the most part, as I’ve mentioned, it simply features naked young girls, most of whom masturbate or go so far as to fuck other girls on camera. Nothing which wouldn’t go on behind closed doors in any normal situation.
I have a real issue with the Government telling me that it’s wrong for this kind of material to be produced. It’s nothing fucking more than a single girl (or maybe more) doing naughty things. None of the acts which take place within the videos are illegal in and of themselves, so why is it such an issue that someone wants to record it?
If the government want to continue along this line, all it’s going to do is push producers of pr0n underground. In turn, that’s going to give us poor quality material, unsafer conditions for the models and employees and less local content. Given that G Media hosts a large client base, I suggest that Hall has either been very lucky in that the authorities have turned a mostly blind eye to the operation, or that he is keeping well above any legal requirements as a producer and employer.
Now I want to talk about the two models who were quoted in the article – Blaire and Melita.
Between July 2008 and September 2009, Blaire has appeared in 19 different videos posted to Abby Winters and about the same number of photo sets (the sets are usually just stills from the corresponding video shoot). Of those 19, 10 have been hardcore (sex with another female model), 4 are “Intimate Moments” (masturbation, either solo or with another female model), 3 are solo (generally involves undressing over the course of a video) and the remainder are “fun” (doing something naked with other girls, no sex).
Between July 2007 and May 2009, Melita appeared in a total of 27 videos and photo sets. Of those 27, 3 were hardcore, 4 were Intimate Moments, 4 were solo and the remainder were behind-the-scenes videos.
For two women, both over the age of 18, you quite happily participated in a fair few videos before deciding it – and the company you modelled for – was wrong.
To be honest, I’m not that familiar with how G Media works, so this is mostly guesswork combined with the small amount I do know. My thoughts are they advertise throughout Australia for models. Those applying are brought in for an audition, and during this audition the basic premise of the company and the shoots are explained. I’m sure that during such time there is some agreement between the company and the model regarding the limits of what the model would be willing to do.
Taking a look through some of the Abby Winters videos, I can quite safely say that none of the models in ANY of the videos looks pressured, uncomfortable or out of place. Considering that very few of them, if any, would be trained actors, the large majority seem ridiculously relaxed in front of the camera and appear to have no issue whatsoever with what they are doing.
The other thing to remember here is that no-one forced them to do anything. They made a decision to pose nude or perform sex acts on camera in return for cash. They willingly agreed to pose knowing full well that those videos or photographs would then be published on a website for members to download or that they might end up on a DVD, and any rights over said material was held by G Media. I’m sure that was explained in any contract that may have been signed. Even if it wasn’t implicitly explained by the representatives of G Media, then I’m sure it was in the fucking contract, and that contract should have been read by the potential models first. If they were unsure about anything, then there would have been ample opportunity to ask questions or have certain points clarified. Or just not sign.
The question remains: Should Garion Hall, or other staff of G Media, advised potential models of the legalities of performing, and should they have been warned about the possible consequences?
To the first part, possibly. But then again, ignorance of the law is no excuse. If these girls are old enough to buy alcohol and cigarettes, drive a car, vote and do whatever else, they are old enough to familiarise themselves with the law and make their own decisions.
On the second point, no. As I’ve already said, they made the decision to perform knowing full well where those images would end up and how they would be used.

To obtain content of these girls I would either have to get a paid-for membership or obtain the content from someone else who has downloaded it using the paid for membership. And if I did have content of these models why would I be stupid enough to use it as free promo? If AW catch me doing that I’ll get banned and lose a lot of money as a result. Affiliates actually have to submit the URL of every single webpage we make using AW content for inspection. Our promo pages have to be meta tagged as adult content and must not use any insulting pejorative language to describe the models.
